Last summer, I saw Reader Rabbit K-1st Math books for clearance price ($2.50) at the teacher store. I bought one without any thought because:
A. I love rabbits
B. Reader Rabbit is really cute!
So I brought it out Tuesday night to do as a "fun" math book and Squeak LOVED IT!! She said she wanted to do the entire book that night! I loved her ambition but gently said no. But it gave me something to think about since we are cruising through Singapore Math K. So here's the plan now:
Singapore Math K should be completed sometime in January and I planned on starting Horizons Math K on February 1st. I'm going to bump the Horizons start date to March 1st instead. This way, Squeak can just work through the Reader Rabbit math book for the remainder of January and through February. A little break from "curriculum" but also good review and she will get some new concepts since it spans to 1st grade. Plus Reader Rabbit is soooo cute that I don't mind looking at him every time Squeak wants to do math!
Though the new books aren't at the same fantastic price I found, here is the workbook:
